How long is the incubation period of syphilis?

Restoring health, one step at a time.
The incubation period of syphilis is about 2-4 weeks. In addition, due to individual differences, each person's incubation period is different. Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Treponema pallidum. After Treponema pallidum enters the body, it first reproduces in the local skin mucosa and reaches the nearby lymph nodes along the lymphatic vessels. Therefore, there will be painless ulcers at the location of the invasion, showing a primary syphilis hard chancre. Treponema pallidum re-enters the blood through lymph nodes and spreads to the whole body, causing skin mucosal damage, which is secondary syphilis. If primary syphilis and secondary syphilis are not treated in time, they will enter tertiary syphilis and syphilis gum swelling and nodular syphilis rash. Therefore, syphilis must be checked in time and treated early.
