Under what circumstances should cystoscopy be done

Guiding you towards wellness.
Cystoscopy is usually performed when the patient has hematuria, frequent micturition and urgency, and has a high risk of bladder cancer.
1. Hematuria
If the patient has unexplained hematuria, that is, blood in the urine, cystoscopy can directly observe whether there are abnormalities in the bladder mucosa and urethra, which helps to exclude or confirm lesions related to the bladder or urethra, such as tumors, infections, etc.
2. Frequent micturition and urgency
If the patient has persistent frequent micturition and urgency, cystoscopy can help determine whether there is excessive bladder activity, bladder obstruction or other lesions.
3. High risk of bladder cancer
For people at high risk of bladder cancer, such as long-term smokers, industrial pollutants, etc., cystoscopy can be used as a screening method to detect tumors early and treat them.
