Ureteral calculi are not always painful to analyze in combination with specific circumstances.

Generally speaking, if the stones are large, in the process of ureteral movement, they may form incarceration in the narrow position, which is not easy to discharge. In addition, after ureteral obstruction, they will be accompanied by ureteral hydrops or hydronephrosis. If the obstruction has not been lifted, it may cause persistent pain. However, some stones may scratch the mucosa during ureteral migration, but they do not form incarceration. This pain is mostly temporary and can be gradually relieved with the repair of local mucosa. Secondly, after a few stones are incarcerated, due to strenuous exercise, drinking a lot of water or taking stone-discharging drugs, the incarceration may be lifted and continue to move downward. When it enters the bladder, the pain may also be relieved.
