Can chest X-ray detect cancer?

X-ray is an X-ray examination method that mainly uses X-rays to irradiate the human body. When X-rays penetrate human tissues, different tissues absorb different X-rays and the amount of X-rays reaching the receiver varies to form an image. Whether there is space-occupying lesion in the chest of the examinee can be observed. However, due to insufficient resolution of chest X-ray, it is impossible to clearly observe the infiltration of diseased tissues into surrounding tissues. Therefore, chest X-ray examination can only be used as an auxiliary item for cancer. Cancer cannot be detected directly.

If there is tissue suspected of malignant tumor after chest X-ray examination, CT examination, tumor marker examination, histopathological examination and other examination items can further confirm the diagnosis.
