Suppurative appendicitis is caused by obstruction of appendix lumen and enlargement of submucosal lymphoid tissue. Congenital malformation of appendix can induce the occurrence of this disease.
1. Basic causes
1. Obstruction of appendix lumen.
Fecal stones, parasites and other reasons cause obstruction of appendix lumen. Bacteria can breed and multiply in appendix lumen, leading to inflammatory lesions and causing suppurative appendicitis.
2. Enlarged submucosal lymphoid tissue
can cause narrow appendix lumen of patient, leading to poor appendix blood circulation and forming suppurative appendicitis.
2. Inducing factors
Congenital malformation of appendix in patient, easy to cause obstruction of appendix lymphatic circulation and induce suppurative appendicitis.
