IgA nephropathy
is the most common primary glomerular disease. It is classified into five grades according to Lee classification. The higher the grade, the more severe the pathological damage, the worse the therapeutic effect and the worse the prognosis.
Grade I slight glomerular lesions, only slight mesangial hyperplasia, no segmental sclerosis and crescent body, no renal tubule and renal interstitial lesions; Grade II focal segmental hyperplasia, no crescent body, no renal tubule and renal interstitial lesions; Grade III focal proliferative glomerulonephritis, about 50% mesangial cell proliferation, mesangial matrix widening, crescent body, renal tubule and renal interstitial lesions, renal interstitial edema, but no renal tubular atrophy; Grade IV diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis, more than 50% glomerular cell proliferation, crescent body and tubular atrophy; Grade V complete sclerosing glomerulonephritis, tubular atrophy and interstitial fibrosis.
