Lumbar Disc Herniation (LDP)
is a common degenerative disease of the spine. It is caused by aging, prolonged fatigue, sprains, falls, etc., leading to degeneration of the lumbar disc, causing partial or complete rupture of the annulus fibrosus, resulting in nucleus pulposus herniation compressing nerve roots and cauda equina nerves. It usually causes pain in the waist, limited movement and other symptoms. Some patients may also be accompanied by pain and numbness of the lower limbs. In severe cases, it may lead to muscle atrophy and paralysis of the lower limbs.
