Not all renal cysts require surgical treatment.

Most renal cysts do not require special treatment. Most renal cysts are simple renal cysts. The incidence rate gradually increases with age, and the cyst volume is generally relatively small. about 2 centimeters but some cysts may increase in volume to more than ten centimeters.

For patients with simple renal cysts, because the cysts do not affect local tissues or kidney tissue, special treatment is not required. When the cyst volume is relatively small, you only need to do B-ultrasound once every six months to evaluate the change in cyst volume, and no surgical treatment is required.

When the cyst volume is relatively large, such as more than 5 centimeters or local compression symptoms, cyst fluid aspiration can be performed and sclerosing agent can be injected into the cyst.

This is a minor operation with low risk and a good prognosis.
