Treatment of Chondrosarcoma

Chondrosarcoma is a primary malignant tumor of bone with a high incidence, mostly occurring in the pelvis and limbs. The treatment of chondrosarcoma mainly includes, first, surgical treatment, which is the most effective method for the treatment of chondrosarcoma at this stage. If early extensive resection with good margin is performed, most patients can obtain satisfactory treatment results, and even achieve clinical cure. Second, chemotherapy, highly malignant tumors, including grade III chondrosarcoma and dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma, should be supplemented by chemotherapy after tumor resection. Third, radiation therapy, for parts that cannot be operated on, radiation therapy can be adopted to improve the therapeutic effect of malignant chondrosarcoma.
