However, larger ureteral calculi can be diagnosed by density shadow and abnormal echo on color Doppler ultrasound. Smaller stones may not be clearly displayed on color Doppler ultrasound images, so urinary color Doppler ultrasound cannot diagnose ureteral calculi.

If a patient needs to be diagnosed, it should be further diagnosed by ureteroscopy, X-ray film, CT examination, etc.
