What are the five ovarian tumor markers?

CA125, HE4, CA199, AFP and CEA are the five tumor markers, CA125 is the most widely used epithelial tumor marker in the world at present, and is widely used in differential diagnosis of pelvic masses, monitoring of disease progression after treatment and prognosis judgment, especially for monitoring curative effect. HE4 is another highly recognized marker of epithelial ovarian cancer after CA125. The detection of HE4 combined with CA125 shows superior clinical value in the early diagnosis, disease monitoring and postoperative recurrence monitoring of epithelial ovarian cancer, as well as in the differential diagnosis of benign tumors. AFP has high value in the diagnosis and monitoring of malignant ovarian germ cell tumors, especially endodermal sinus tumors. CEA has no specific marker function for tumor type, but blood CEA levels continue to rise, often progressing to recurrent ovarian tumors, and survival time is relatively short.
