The difference between gastric polyps and tumors

Your health, my mission. Your recovery, my joy.
Gastric tumors are divided into benign tumors and malignant tumors, among which gastric polyps are the most common benign tumors. Malignant tumors are also called gastric cancer. Gastric polyps can be divided into adenomatous polyps, hyperplastic polyps, inflammatory polyps and hamartoma polyps histologically. Endoscopic resection of polyps is the first choice. Regular endoscopic follow-up after resection. Surgical resection should be performed for possible complications that cannot be cut out to broad-based polyps under endoscopy. If the polyps contain malignant tissue, they are treated as gastric cancer. Gastric cancer is a malignant disease with uncontrollable growth and metastasis characteristics, so the five-year survival rate of advanced gastric cancer is relatively low. Generally, it reaches less than 50%, and stage 4 gastric cancer is even less than 10%. This is the biggest difference between the two diseases.
