Intestinal metaplasia is not early cancer. Gastric intestinal metaplasia refers to the gradual transformation of gastric mucosa epithelium into small intestine or large intestine mucosa epithelium. It has certain heteromorphic, is a precancerous lesion, there is a certain probability of malignant transformation into gastric cancer.
