Causes of high antigen in squamous cell carcinoma

Restoring hope, restoring health.
Squamous cell carcinoma-associated antigen refers to SCC. In addition to tumor, there are also some chronic non-neoplastic diseases that cause SCC to increase. Clinically, squamous cell carcinoma of the lung and cervical cancer and vaginal cancer in gynecological squamous cell carcinoma often cause SCC to increase. However, in chronic infections, such as pneumonia, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, renal failure and tuberculosis, patients will also show an increase. Therefore, for patients with elevated squamous cell carcinoma antigen found in physical examination, further search for causes is needed, and regular reexamination is recommended for patients with slight elevation. For patients with obvious elevation, further improvement of color Doppler ultrasound or CT examination is needed to clarify the diagnosis, and corresponding treatment measures are taken according to the cause.
