What is cat scratch disease

Cat-scratch disease is a disease caused by infection with Bartonella hanseiensis. The common clinical manifestations are localized skin damage and swollen lymph nodes. Cat-scratch disease is a self-limiting disease. It can heal within 2 to 4 months of illness. After illness, patients do not need isolation and will not cause human-to-human transmission.
