Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
Stool occult blood (+, generally indicates that the patient's bleeding volume is small, about 5ml, and does not show a lot of bleeding, tarry stool and black stool. Generally considered is that the patient shows bleeding in the upper digestive tract, such as gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer bleeding. However, some patients are caused by gastrointestinal bleeding due to gastric tumor occupation, so patients need to do gastroscopy to initially clarify the condition. If it is caused by gastroduodenal ulcer bleeding, the patient can be given more fluids, or some easily digestible green vegetables, and oral omeprazole to suppress gastric acid and protect the gastric mucosa. At the same time, antibacterial drugs should be applied to control inflammatory infections. However, if it is caused by gastric tumor occupation, it is necessary to promptly give subtotal gastrectomy for treatment.
