Early Down screening and NT testing are two different tests. NT tests assess the risk of Down syndrome by examining the transparent layer of the fetal neck. Early Down screening assesses the risk of chromosomal diseases such as trisomy 21 and trisomy 18 by drawing maternal peripheral blood.
