The gastric test is a test for Helicobacter pylori infection. There are two types of invasive and non-invasive methods for detecting Helicobacter pylori infection. Invasive methods include rapid urease test, direct smear staining of gastric mucosa, staining of gastric mucosa tissue sections, bacterial culture, genetic testing methods, etc. Non-invasive methods include: Carbon 13 or carbon 14 urea breath test, Helicobacter pylori stool antigen detection, serum Helicobacter pylori antibody detection, etc. Carbon 13 and carbon 14 urea breath test is a non-invasive test with high accuracy and easy operation, which can reflect the infection of Helicobacter pylori in the whole stomach and overcome the false negative of rapid urea test caused by focal distribution of bacteria. However, when the urea breath test value is near the critical value, the result is unreliable and can be detected again after a period of time or by other methods.
