What is the basic chemotherapy regimen for acute lymphoblastic leukemia?

Guiding you towards a healthier tomorrow.
The basic chemotherapy regimen for acute lymphoblastic leukemia is VP regimen (vincristine + prednisone).
1. Vincristine
is an effective antitumor drug. It interferes with the polymerization of tubulin, thereby affecting mitosis and killing leukemia cells. It is characterized by rapid induction of leukemia cells into apoptosis.
2. Prednisone
is a glucocorticoid drug. It has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. In the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, prednisone can inhibit the proliferation of leukemia cells and induce differentiation and apoptosis. At the same time, it can also reduce the inflammatory reactions and adverse reactions during chemotherapy.
VP regimen is the basis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment, but it is usually combined with other chemotherapy drugs or different chemotherapy regimens to improve the efficacy and survival rate. Moreover, drugs must be used reasonably under the guidance of doctors.
