What does general anesthesia affect the body?

General anesthesia for surgery may cause nausea and vomiting, gastroesophageal reflux and upper respiratory tract obstruction symptoms, but also may lead to acute lung injury, lung infection and hypotension, severe cases may appear respiratory failure, cardiac arrest and circulatory failure symptoms.
