Causes of low thyroid hormones

Committed to your well-being.
Hypothyroidism may be caused by hypothyroidism. Clinically, hypothyroidism has two causes: primary hypothyroidism and central hypothyroidism. Primary hypothyroidism is caused by changes in the thyroid gland itself, accounting for more than 95% of all hypothyroidism. Central hypothyroidism is caused by hypothalamic and pituitary lesions, resulting in reduced production and secretion of thyrotropin releasing hormone or thyrotropin, thus causing hypothyroidism. Subacute thyroiditis can also cause hypothyroidism for a period of time. Thyroid follicular cells are destroyed by inflammatory factors, resulting in the release of stored thyroid hormones, thyroid cells are recovering, generally after recovery, thyroid function can return to normal.
