Causes of High Platelet Count

The normal value of platelets is (100-300)*10^9/L, and more than 400*10^9/L is called thrombocytosis. Because it is difficult for infants to collect blood, the red blood cells will rupture and cause hemolysis during extrusion, so there will be false increase of platelets. It may also be suffering from primary thrombocytosis or secondary thrombocytosis, which is common in infection, anemia, renal insufficiency, etc.
