What's wrong with no sperm?

Committed to your health journey.
No sperm is what we normally call azoospermia. Male azoospermia is very common clinically. about one in ten infertile men will be azoospermia. Azoospermia mainly means that the composition of seminal plasma in semen is normal, just that there is not even a sperm in seminal plasma, this situation may be divided into two situations to analyze, one is obstructive azoospermia, that is to say, testis is normal to produce sperm, just that the sperm produced by testis cannot be transported out through the vas deferens. Well, there is also a non-obstructive azoospermia. The so-called non-obstructive azoospermia means that the vas deferens are open, but the testicle itself does not produce sperm. There are many factors that cause the testicle not to produce sperm. Some of them are congenital, such as Klinefelter's syndrome. If a man has an extra X chromosome, it will cause the testicle not to develop, so the testicle will not produce sperm. Some are caused by endocrine factors, such as follicular estrogen levels are particularly low, so that this person's testicles do not develop during puberty, so that no sperm is produced after adulthood. There are also some idiopathic or unexplained azoospermia, which may also be related to certain gene mutations related to spermatogenesis, or some previous infections with bacteria, viruses or other diseases that cause damage to spermatogenic cells and then fail to produce sperm.
