Can blind eyes be cured?

Blindness may be caused by various diseases. Some patients can recover their vision, some patients still can not recover their vision after treatment, such as temporary vision loss, amaurosis and other vision can be reversed. For example, senile cataract, severe patients can cause blindness, if the fundus is normal, no other special eye diseases, cataract surgery can restore better vision. However, in glaucoma, prolonged elevated intraocular pressure damages ocular tissues, especially the optic nerve and its visual pathways, and thus impairs visual function. If no effective treatment is taken to reduce intraocular pressure, vision can be completely lost, resulting in blindness, and this blindness cannot be reversed.
