What is the prostate function?

Dedicated to healing, always.
Prostate is a part of the male reproductive system, which has the function of secreting prostatic fluid, regulating urethral function, participating in ejaculation and so on.
1. Secreting prostatic
fluid The prostatic fluid secreted by the prostatic gland is one of the important components of semen, accounting for about 20%-30% of the total volume of semen. The prostatic fluid mainly contains proteins, enzymes and minerals, which play a role in nourishing and protecting sperm, and helps to provide a suitable environment for sperm in the reproductive tract.
2. Regulating urethral function The
prostate is located around the urethra, and its muscle tissue has a certain regulatory effect on the opening and closing of the urethra, which can help control the discharge of urine.
3. Participating in the ejaculation process, the
prostate will participate in the ejaculation process. Through contraction and emptying of prostatic fluid, it helps to promote the sperm movement toward the vas deferens and ejaculation direction, thus promoting the occurrence of ejaculation.
