Does metronidazole tablet treat haemorrhoids

Metronidazole is an antibiotic that treats abscesses or inflammatory diseases caused by bacterial infections, especially anaerobic bacteria. However, hemorrhoids are caused by varicose veins near the anal and rectal tissues, so the formation of hemorrhoids has little to do with bacterial infections. Therefore, metronidazole tablets do not achieve satisfactory results in treating hemorrhoids. For hemorrhoids treatment, the first principle of treatment is to control symptoms rather than cure, eat foods rich in coarse fiber to promote defecation, or if oxidizing agents sit bath or wash anal skin, hemorrhoids can also be treated with rectal suppositories.
