Nephrolithiasis surgery need catheter insertion

Restoring health, one step at a time.
If the kidney stone is small, choose extracorporeal ultrasound lithotripsy and other minimally invasive surgery to remove stones, there is no postoperative urination phenomenon, generally do not need to insert a urinary catheter. However, if the kidney stone is large, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, or postoperative urination difficulties, bleeding and other phenomena, it is generally recommended to insert a urinary catheter to prevent urine or blood accumulation caused by stimulation, which is not conducive to recovery.
Patients should reduce the intake of strong tea and coffee after surgery to prevent recurrence of the disease. Drink plenty of water at ordinary times, which is conducive to urine metabolism and reduce recurrence rate.
