How long does jaundice subside in normal newborns?

The time for jaundice to subside depends on the condition and type of disease. Physiological jaundice generally subsides in three to five days. Feeding hot water or sun to the baby at ordinary times can speed up the subside of jaundice. Pathological jaundice subsides slightly longer, especially hemolytic jaundice, which may take a month to subside.
