Steps to make a rheoencephalogram

Empowering lives through health.
A rheoencephalogram, also known as transcranial Doppler ultrasound, is an examination method to check whether there is stenosis in intracranial blood vessels. No special preparation is usually required before doing a rheoencephalogram examination. The patient lies flat on the examination bed or the examiner sits back. During the examination, one side of the middle cerebral artery, internal carotid artery, anterior cerebral artery and posterior cerebral artery can be examined first, and then the blood vessels on the side can be checked. The probe for examination is placed at the temporal window, that is, near the temple. After examining the bilateral temporal windows, the umbilical artery and vertebral artery can be examined. Some rheoencephalograms can also examine the external carotid artery system and ophthalmic artery. Therefore, rheoencephalogram examination is a relatively simple and easy examination method.
