What does cerebellar disease mean?

Cerebellar lesions refer to all lesions, all lesions confined to the cerebellum, including tumors, inflammation, trauma, hemorrhage, infarction, and some compressive changes. Cerebellar lesions include lesions in the cerebellar cortex, medulla, and inner nucleus structures such as calcification, parasites, and inflammation, hemorrhage, tumors, etc. Generally, cerebellar lesions are not clearly seen on CT, so if the nature of the lesion needs to be further clarified, it is recommended to undergo a skull MRI examination as soon as possible. If necessary, some enhancements such as diffusion imaging or pressurized water imaging can be added. Special sequences to further clarify the possible nature of related lesions, it is recommended to go to the neurology department as soon as possible for further diagnosis and treatment.
