When the cerebellar hemisphere is affected, the patient shows trunk ataxia and balance disorder. The patient shows unstable standing, wide stride, left and right swing, staggering gait, also known as drunken gait. However, the patient's limb ataxia and eye symptoms are mild or not obvious. It is often seen in cerebellar eye tumors. When one cerebellar hemisphere is affected, the patient shows ipsilateral limb ataxia, i.e. unstable finger nose test and heel knee shin test, poor distance discrimination, poor body movement, etc. At the same time, patients may be accompanied by muscle tone decreased, tendon reflex weakened or disappeared, sometimes showing pendulum tendinous reflex. Cerebellar hemisphere lesions patients may also show horizontal nystagmus and cerebellar language, such as dysarthria or explosive language, etc., more common in tumors, cerebrovascular diseases, genetic degenerative diseases, etc.
