What is the difference between a medial epicondylar fracture and a supracondylar fracture of the hum

Guiding you towards wellness.
Humeral condyle is composed of humerus medial condyle and humerus lateral condyle. The main difference between humerus medial epicondyle fracture and humerus supracondylar fracture lies in the anatomical structure of this part. Humerus medial epicondyle is mainly the insertion point of flexor tendon of whole forearm and finger. In case of traction injury, it is very easy to cause humerus medial epicondyle fracture. Humerus supracondylar fracture is mainly seen in children or adolescents. The fracture is caused by force after the elbow joint strikes the ground. This is because it is the part where cancellous bone meets compact bone, and the relationship of the posterior elbow triangle does not change after the supracondylar fracture of the humerus, while the relationship of the posterior elbow triangle changes after the medial epicondylar fracture.
