Female urethra is located in front of vaginal orifice.

Female urethra is short and straight, located in front of vaginal orifice, connected with bladder. Its structure is relatively simple, mainly responsible for urine discharge from bladder. The main function of urethra is urination. Under normal circumstances, urethra can control urine discharge autonomously, when there is a need to urinate, through the coordination of related muscles to complete the urination process.

Because female urethra is short and close to vaginal orifice and anus, it is vulnerable to bacteria and other pathogens, leading to urethritis and other urinary system infections. Daily attention should be paid to keep urethral orifice clean.
