What causes afternoon headaches?

Afternoon headaches may be caused by elevated blood pressure, which should be monitored. If blood pressure rises, blood pressure should be reduced promptly. Oral levamlodipine, amlodipine besylate, valsartan and irbesartan may also be used. It may also be caused by sinusitis, which is commonly seen in maxillary sinusitis. Patients with maxillary sinusitis may present with afternoon headaches and nausea and vomiting. Some patients may present with nasal congestion and watery nasal discharge. A ct scan of the paranasal sinuses can confirm the diagnosis.
