Causes of intercostal neuralgia

Thoracic disc degeneration, joint capsule and ligament thickening, ossification often cause nerve channel narrow deformation, can cause intercostal nerve inflammation, pain. Also involved in intercostal nerve lesions are thoracic tuberculosis, thoracic fracture or dislocation, spinal or spinal cord tumors, or chest wall tumors and metastases, ankylosing spondylitis and ribs, mediastinum, pleura and other lesions. Herpes zoster intercostal neuralgia is often more severe.
