Can cancer be diagnosed by pathology?

Restoring hope, restoring health.
Pathological
examination is one of the most important methods to diagnose cancer. By taking living tissues and performing pathological histomorphology examination under microscope, we can observe the shape, size, arrangement of cells and whether there are abnormal cell divisions, etc., so as to clarify the nature, grade and type of lesions. However, pathological diagnosis requires a high degree of expertise and experience, and due to the limitations of sampling sites, there may be missed diagnosis or misdiagnosis, so cancer cannot be diagnosed with 100% certainty, especially in rare or complex cases, and other tests such as immunohistochemistry and molecular genetic testing should be combined to ensure the accuracy of diagnosis.
