Low-grade tumors are usually not cancer.
Clinically, low-grade tumors are pathological terms that refer to histiocytic hyperplasia, which is different from normal cells and is an atypical hyperplasia. For abnormal hyperplasia of cell tissues, two classification methods are often used clinically, namely dichotomy and triad. Among them, triad includes grade 1, i.e. mild atypical hyperplasia, grade 2 equivalent to moderate atypical hyperplasia, and grade 3, i.e. severe atypical hyperplasia. Low-grade tumors usually include mild to moderate dysplasia, indicating that the cellular tissue is less dysplastic but does not meet diagnostic criteria for cancer.
