Female urethra is characterized by thick and short.

Female urethra is thick and short, no curve, easy to be contaminated by external pathogenic microorganisms. Female urethral external orifice is located in the perineum, adjacent to the vagina, may be subjected to perineal muscles and pelvic floor muscles compression and stimulation, prone to urination difficulties and urinary pain symptoms. In comparison, female urethral sphincter function is stronger than men, easy to control urination.

Women should pay attention to personal hygiene, change underwear frequently, wash vulva with water, keep vulva skin clean, prevent urethritis.
