High-risk newborns should be vaccinated with hepatitis B immunoglobulin after birth. The half-life of immunoglobulin is 25 days. Therefore, two weeks after birth, the child should be injected with 200IU of immunoglobulin. After two weeks, the child should be re-examined. If HBVDNA decreases significantly, 200IU of immunoglobulin should be injected again to block mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B. Adults are generally vaccinated once within 24 hours after exposure.
