Sperm routine examination refers to semen routine examination. Semen routine examination is one of the examination methods in male urology, andrology and reproductive department. It can check the sperm status of men and assist in the diagnosis of male urogenital diseases.
Semen routine examination mainly places sperm under microscope for observation to judge sperm motility, sperm morphology, sperm quantity, sperm abnormality rate, semen pH value, etc. It can not only preliminarily judge male fertility, but also assist in the diagnosis of azoospermia, seminal vesiculitis, prostatitis and other diseases.
Men should abstain from sex for 3-7 days before semen routine examination to ensure sufficient sperm quantity and improve the accuracy of examination results.
