Does it hurt to drain the pleural effusion?

For patients with large pleural effusion volume, pleural effusion can be pumped for treatment. The process of pleural effusion pumping requires anesthesia. There will be slight pain when using anesthesia needle puncture, but there will be basically no pain after anesthesia takes effect. Some patients with sensitive constitution or pleural pain will feel slight pain.
