Cold sores around the mouth

Herpes on the mouth is caused by herpes simplex virus infection. When the body has fever, cold, fatigue, lack of sleep, mood depression and other immune decline, it will promote the foaming of the mouth and the disease. Therefore, the treatment of herpes on the mouth should be based on antiviral treatment. If the herpes is less and the pain is lighter, the patient can choose to apply acyclovir ointment, penciclovir cream and other antiviral drugs on the affected area. If there is a secondary infection, choose to apply drugs such as iodophor or erythromycin ointment to the affected area. If the herpes shows spread, oral antiviral drugs such as acyclovir and valciclovir should be used.
