How to stop a newborn hiccup?

Neonatal hiccups are mostly caused by incomplete development of vegetative nerves. If hiccups caused by cold, parents are advised to pat the baby's back to relieve; if they are caused by feeding too fast, it is recommended to flick the baby's soles. After the baby cries, hiccups will stop.
