Urticaria is a localized edema of the skin mucosa due to temporary increased vascular permeability, also known as wheals. Allergic urticaria is not infectious. It occurs due to animal protein, plants, food additives and other foods, drugs, pollen, animal dander, hair, dust mites and other respiratory tract inhalants and skin contact. These substances cause an allergic reaction in the body, thus stimulating mast cells to degranulation and release chemical mediators with inflammatory activity, thus showing clinical symptoms of urticaria. The onset process is a hypersensitivity reaction, so it is not infectious.
