Spindle-cell tumor therapy

Building a healthier future, together.
The treatment options for spindle cell tumors mainly include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, etc.
1. Surgery
is an important treatment method for spindle cell tumors. For localized tumors, complete resection through surgery can effectively control the progression of the disease. The purpose of surgery is not only to remove the tumor, but also to ensure sufficient margins to reduce the risk of recurrence. However, the feasibility and effectiveness of surgery depends on factors such as tumor location, size, and relationship to surrounding tissues.
2. Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy also plays a role in the treatment of spindle cell tumors. For cases where surgery is difficult to completely remove or there is a high risk of recurrence, radiotherapy can be used as an adjuvant therapy to inhibit tumor cell growth and proliferation through radiation and reduce local recurrence rate.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is mainly used for spindle cell tumors with high malignancy or metastatic cases. Chemotherapy drugs, such as etoposide and fluorouracil, can inhibit the spread of tumor cells systemically. However, the side effects of chemotherapy are relatively large, which may cause bone marrow suppression, gastrointestinal reactions and other adverse reactions. The patient's physical condition needs to be closely monitored during treatment.
