What is the difference between stomach pain and angina?

Stomachache is usually caused by stomach acid stimulating gastric mucosa or stomach smooth muscle spasm, which is more common in patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction. This pain usually occurs in the upper left abdomen or right upper abdomen, while angina pain generally occurs in the precordial area, above the stomach. This pain can be accompanied by chest tightness and panic, which can be relieved by taking nitroglycerin.
