Congenital pseudarthrosis of tibia is a rare disease that normally does not heal spontaneously. The main features of this disease are tibial deformity, pathological fracture and other phenomena caused by segmental dysplasia of tibia in children. Neurofibroma may also be associated. It is usually extremely difficult to heal and the prognosis is relatively poor. Surgery is usually recommended for children up to 6 years of age, and may be performed with fibula graft, intramedullary rod and cortical bone graft, external fixation with fixator, or autogenous iliac bone graft if indicated.
