Symptoms of common bile duct dilatation after cholecystectomy

Building a healthier future, together.
The symptoms of choledochal dilatation after cholecystectomy include abdominal pain, digestive problems, jaundice, etc.
1. Abdominal pain After
cholecystectomy, bile has no place to store and enters the duodenum directly through the common bile duct. Dilation of the common bile duct will cause bile to flow smoothly, causing it to accumulate in the common bile duct and stimulate surrounding tissues, causing pain.
2. Digestive problems
Bile plays an emulsifying role in the process of fat digestion, which can decompose fat into small particles so that enzymes can better digest it. When the common bile duct is dilated, the flow of bile is blocked, which may cause fatty indigestion, fatty diarrhea, fatty feces, etc.
3. Jaundice.Due to the
obstruction of bile flow caused by choledochal dilatation, bilirubin in bile cannot normally enter the intestinal tract and accumulate in the body, so jaundice may occur.
