Low or high gastrin risk

Building bridges to better health.
Gastrin is secreted by gastric mucosa and duodenal epithelial cells, and its main function is to promote acid secretion, thus promoting food digestion. The normal reference value of gastrin is 15-100pg/ml. If gastrin is higher than normal, it indicates excessive acid secretion, which may induce reflux esophagitis. If gastrin is low, it indicates less acid secretion, and indigestion may occur. Therefore, whether the value is low or high, there will be risks.
When gastrin is abnormal, seek medical attention for further examination, such as endoscopy, esophageal pH monitoring, etc., and choose appropriate treatment measures according to the examination results. At the same time, pay attention to diet conditioning, mainly light and digestible foods.
