Blood clots appear after tooth extraction. If blood clots appear one to two days after tooth extraction, they may be caused by excessive bleeding after tooth extraction. Generally, special intervention is not required. Oral hygiene can be maintained. However, if blood clots symptoms are severe and continue to worsen, it is likely to be caused by dry socket after tooth extraction. Timely medical treatment is required.
